OK. I'm a dork. I haven't had a Windows or Linux machine in my house for more than 18 months. And 1) i don't know what would happen in that scenario on a mac and 2) i don't have a backspace key to find out.
I should have been more clear. On the Mac keyboards, the delete key is where the backspace key is on every other keyboard. But, what I was trying to do requires hitting the actual Del key on a Windows box.
Just a silly little thing that probably should have gone on twitter.
